Our Nursery Staff
Staff training and development is extremely important to us.
In May 2005 we achieved the Investors in People standard.
Our aim is that every member of staff has a formal childcare qualification or is working towards one
The Nursery is owned by Jackie and Andrew Webber. They have run it since 1997 and take an active role in all activities.
Jackie is a qualified teacher and has taught in State and Independent primary schools as well as in a Special School. She works in the Nursery and also prepares all the food. In February 2007 Jackie gained Early Years Professional Status.
Andrew has a level 3 qualification in childcare, a Masters degree in Business Studies as well as formal Agricultural qualifications. He works part-time with the children and runs the business side of the Nursery. He has a keen interest in outdoor learning. Andrew gained Early Years Professional Status in October 2007.
Sarah West is the Nursery Manager and has an Advanced Diploma in Childcare as well as a National Diploma in Social Care. Sarah oversees the running of the Nursery and works with all the children. She has twin daughters.
Kate Roe is the Deputy Manager and helps run the Nursery. Kate is a qualified primary school teacher and oversees and helps deliver the education for the 3 – 5 year olds. Kate is working towards gaining Early Years Professional Status.
Josephine Vogel is a Nursery Practitioner who has a level 3 qualification. She works with the 1 – 2 year old children and has a daughter of her own.
Sophie Bieny is a Nursery Practitioner and has a Diploma in Childcare and Education. She supports all members of staff and works with all the children.
Diana Bates is a qualified teacher and works on a part-time basis on the Outdoor Learning Programme. She has two young children of her own.
Joeanne Howells is a Nursery Assistant and works with all the children.
Shirley Miller is a Nursery Assistant and is also a qualified Nurse, she works with the younger children. Shirley has two older children of her own.
Melonie Parton is a Nursery Assistant and works with all the children.
Pip Sharp is a Nursery Assistant and works with the older children.
